EDMONTON — A major fire raging in an industrial area in southeast Edmonton that decimated a commercial building is now under control. The fire caused “extensive” damage to an industrial building near Wagner Road and 83 Street, said Kristi Bland, a spokesperson with Edmonton Fire Services. No one was hurt in the fire, she added. “It was a huge response and it was a very large fire, but they were able to get it out still in a timely matter.”A large smoke of cloud could be seen over the city’s south end Saturday afternoon. The area, which houses a number of businesses and garages, remains cordoned off by emergency personnel.
