According to the police, the parlours were operated by one person Dasari Siddartha, who was arrested. At the time of the raids, the police claimed to have found incriminating evidence suggesting that the massage parlours and spas were being used as brothels. Siddartha, the police claim, would traffic women from Thailand, north-east India and Punjab, besides employing locals. Norms for spas including transparent glass doors, CCTV cameras and maintaining registers for recording customer preferences, were flouted, the police said
