Massachusetts' only Confederate memorial will be removed after Columbus Day weekend. The Boston Globe reports that the memorial will be removed from Georges Island and temporarily placed in storage at the Massachusetts Archives. Charlie Baker called for its removal in June as other states pushed to remove Confederate memorials.
