A mass resignation in Northern Arm has left a one-person town council, which held a one-councillor meeting Thursday to pick up the pieces. Five councillors resigned Sept. 25, days after Mayor Lloyd Hunter quit his post. Tremblett has kept dozens of pages of notes, including records of emails and council meetings, on the Northern Arm town council. Fred Butler, one of the five town councillors who resigned in September, said he and the other councillors resigned from their positions because it was becoming impossible to work through the town council, and they needed to do something to force a resolution. The bulletin board in Northern Arm's town park has been taken over by duelling statements by Tremblett and former mayor Lloyd Hunter.
