Grandparents on e-bikes through to children on their first bikes are being encouraged to join a mass ride around Wanaka to celebrate biking and walking being made a key pillar of the Queenstown Lake District council 10-year plan. The QLDC's 10-year plan was released for public comment yesterday. Mr Telfer said there were still gaps in the draft 10-year plan and the group would be making a strong submission. "Wanaka Primary school has seen 90 bikes and scooters in the bike stands on some days - this wasn't happening last year," he said. The mass ride around Wanaka will start at 5pm on Friday, March 23, from the Dinosaur Park.
