Beijing has claimed that there are "different views" on India's application to have Azhar recognized as a 'globally designated terrorist', and that its technical hold would give more time for discussion of the matter. The excuse is however flat considering of the 15 members of the United Nations Security Council, 14 (China being the exception) have backed India's request. "There are still different views on India's listing application made this March. India wants this against Masood Azhar.
