Coach Jay Gruden said Friday that Redskins linebacker Mason Foster would be placed on the team’s injured reserve list. It’s the first time Foster, in his seventh season, had been placed on injured reserve. After the team’s bye week, Foster pushed through to start in consecutive games against the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles. He was able to manage through the injury with a week off between games against the Chiefs and 49ers. Foster was cut by the Bears before the season and remained a street free agent until he signed with the Redskins in Week 4.
