Maryland County Lawmaker Urges Local Officials To Promote Gov’t Pro-Poor Agenda


Monrovia – Maryland County District Three Representative, Isaac B. Roland has cautioned the newly confirmed local officials of the county to work collaboratively with national government to promote the Coalition for Democratic Change’s pro-poor agenda. The Maryland County lawmaker noted that the development of the district under the CDC led government will only be possible if the locals themselves stand for development. He congratulated the local officials on their preferment by President George Weah, customarily presenting kola nuts to them as a sign of his good will gesture and best wishes in their respective portfolios. He vowed to work with the local officials in transforming the district and the county at large. The local officials at the gathering include Gbarjulu Toe, Superintendent, Barrobo Statutory Disterict, Alphanso Davis, Development Superintendent, Karluway Statutory District and Blayon Wesseh, City Mayor of Glofaken City among others.
