She was previo­usly barred from holdin­g a rally in Mandi Bahaud­dinThe vice president of Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) on Tuesday called for a nationwide protest to free former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in a tweet. In the video, the judge is purportedly having a conversation with a man, named Nasir Butt, who Maryam described as a PML-N worker. The judge can be heard telling Butt that he had been ‘blackmailed’ using a private video of him shot 10 years earlier. She further tweeted asking people to join the protest and end the regime of ‘selected’ government. Last month, Maryam had hinted at launching a mass contact drive to rally support against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s economic policies.
