Marts are to close from midnight tonight under new measures announced by the Taoiseach Leo Varardkar as part of the Government's response to Covid-19. The Taoiseach said more needs to be done now to flatten the curve and he asked all who can to stay at home. All organised social indoor and outdoor events, or any size, are not to take place. As part of this the Taoiseach listed that marts and markets are to close from midnight tonight, along with theaters, gyms, hair dressers, betting offices. Hotels are to limit occupancy and non essential retail outlets are to close to members of the public.
