Marriott International has signed three new deals across North and West Africa, bringing the tally of properties on the continent to 200 by the end of 2023. The new deals include the group's first property in Liberia as well as new hotels in Ghana and Morocco. The hotels are the St Regis Marrakech Resort in Morocco, the Residence Inn by Marriott Accra Kotoka Airport in Ghana and the Four Points by Sheraton Monrovia in Liberia. The company will open 19 hotels across the Middle East and Africa region in 2019 alone, adding over 3,000 rooms to the group's portfolio. "This region continues to present us with opportunities to further grow and enhance our portfolio across new and established markets," said Jerome Briet, chief development officer, Middle East and Africa at Marriott International.
