The UN Economic Commission for Africa’s (ECA) Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development is set to be held in Marrakech, Morocco. The 2019 edition of the conference will be held from 20-26 March 2019 under the theme; Fiscal policy, trade and the private sector in the digital era: A strategy for Africa. ECA Executive Secretary, Vera Songwe, says discussions during the 2019 CoM will focus on effective fiscal policy for growth in Africa. The plenary sessions of the conference of Ministers will commence with a high-level policy dialogue on the theme for 2019. This will be followed by plenary sessions on a series of sub-themes and at least 16 side events on various issues affecting African economies.
