Travis Scott joined the band with a quick tribute to the late SpongeBob Squarepants creator Stephen Hillenburg, before dominating the stage with his song Sicko Mode and crowd surfing. Scott was introduced by footage of Squidward from the show's 2001 episode Band Geeks, where the Bikini Bottom Superband play at the Super Bowl. The official Twitter of Spongebob Squarepants praised the performance as they wrote: 'Jumping jellyfish! Going into halftime, the Patriots took a 3-0 lead thanks to a 41-yard field goal by Stephen Gostkowski in the second quarter.
