Maroc Telecom Group has said that its customers continue to grow (up 9.1 pc year-on-year), reaching 68.4 million during the first half of 2020. This increase is due partly to the consolidation of Tigo Chad into the Group’s since July 1, 2019. As of June 30, 2020, its mobile customers reached 19.6 million, up slightly by 0.1 pc year-on-year thanks to the increase in the postpaid customer base (up 7.1 pc), says the leading Moroccan telecom operator in a press release. However, its landline customers grew by 6.9 pc year-on-year, bringing the number of lines to nearly 2 million. Maroc Telecom Group, a leading operator in Africa, is present in 10 African countries.
