Picton pharmacist Graeme Smith has been running evening and weekend after-hours vaccination clinics for those who find it difficult to get to the Blenheim vaccination centre. While large numbers have passed through the vaccination centre at Blenheim's Stadium 2000 since Delta arrived, local pharmacies have been putting in extra hours to fill in the gaps. In Picton, Graeme Smith​ and his team at Picton Healthcare Pharmacy have been running evening and weekend clinics and are fully booked for the next week. “There's a lot of demand, and we are gearing up for more,” pharmacist and owner of John Poswillo and Omaka Landing pharmacies Brian Poswillo​ said. At this stage, they had only been able to offer vaccinations at the John Poswillo Pharmacy, but were hoping to be able to offer them at Omaka Landing as well.
