Marlborough man steals video game controller, grows cannabisFAIRFAX NZOut of sight of the video store assistant, Daniel Bond hid a Playstation 4 controller under his clothes. The 44-year-old Blenheim man went to the town's United Video, at Kinross St, about 8.40pm on July 12. Bond admitted shoplifting, cultivating cannabis and possessing cannabis utensils at the Blenheim District Court on Monday. When asked about shoplifting from United Video, Bond admitted taking the controller but said he did not know what he was doing. Judge Richard Russell convicted Bond and sentenced him to 80 hours' community work, and to pay $110 in reparation to Blenheim's United Video.
