A stretch of Yonge Street in Richmond Hill was closed off Thursday morning after York Regional police say a driver collided with parked cars, traffic lights and hydro poles. At around 2 a.m., police say a driver rammed into at least five cars in the parking lot of a Travelodge near Yonge Street and Elgin Mills Road. From there, the man continued to drive south along Yonge Street, running into traffic lights, construction cones, a garbage can and at least two hydro poles, said Duty Insp. The man then zigzagged down Yonge Street before he sustained minor injuries.
