A former policeman whose marketing company raised hundreds of millions of pounds for London Capital & Finance has been arrested in a fraud inquiry into the collapsed investment firm. Paul Careless, whose Surge Group business in Brighton was contracted by LCF to secure investments, was arrested, questioned and released by the Serious Fraud Office on Wednesday.
