Mark Shapiro 'disappointed' with Blue Jays' slow start

Toronto Blue Jays president and CEO Mark Shapiro isn't hiding how he feels about his team's slow start to the 2016 season. Prior to Friday's game against the Minnesota Twins, the defending American League East champion Blue Jays were 20-23, six games behind division-leading Baltimore Orioles. He believes the Blue Jays' core has enough experience to figure it out. On April 28, Shapiro told Sportsnet that although he wasn't happy with the Blue Jays' 10-13 record, but he wanted to refrain from drawing any conclusions until at least the 40 mark. The Blue Jays led the Majors in scoring last season, racking up 891 runs, 127 more than any other team.
