Mark Sampson was in charge of the Lionesses between 2013 and 2017Former England women's manager Mark Sampson says he is pursuing legal action after he was cleared of using racist language while caretaker boss at Stevenage. The case was dismissed in January after it was found not proven by an independent commission. Following the charge, Stevenage said the allegations had "no foundation", while Sampson was "completely confident" he would clear his name. Before his dismissal, Sampson had been cleared of wrongdoing following discrimination allegations made by England players, including then Chelsea and Lionesses striker Eniola Aluko. Sampson brought an unfair dismissal case against the FA who reached an out-of-court settlement with him.
