Mark Meadows sent previous guy a Power Point slide set that planned to urge VP Pence to throw out election results and declare mail-in ballots illegal. Meadows’s dithering about compliance has garnered a vote on contempt of Congress, especially having both releasing a book on the same material for which he’s tried to declare executive privilege protections. His attempts to stonewall the investigation only makes the contempt vote more likely to make a criminal referral. It also acknowledges the stonewalling of what seems to be a trove of evidence already assembled against coup plotters. Meadows’s decision not to cooperate is a blow to the committee, as lawmakers were hoping to interview Trump’s top White House aide about Trump’s actions before and during the violent attack of his supporters.
