FOOTBALL: The Palmerston North Marist women's team is off to a winning start in the W-League, including a contender for goal of the season. Marist beat Waterside Karori 2-0 at Karori Park in Wellington on Saturday in a deft all-round performance capped by goals from two newcomers. Karori ended the game with 10 women on the field after a defender tripped Marist captain Mikaela Boxall. Marist play Seatoun, from Wellington, at Memorial Park in Palmerston North this Saturday.
