Marina Erakovic's US Open tennis hopes have quickly ended in qualifying. The New Zealand women's No 1 lost her first round singles qualifying match in New York on Thursday (NZ time). Erakovic was beaten by teenaged world No 237 Fanny Stollar of Hungary 6-4 6-2 in just over an hour at Flushing Meadows. The Kiwi's ranking has slipped to 175 in a season plagued by injury and poor results.
