Marestella’s journey to the Rio OlympicsCNA insider, in its Facebook page, shared Marestella Torres’ bid for her 3rd Olympic outing through a video entitled “Fighting: Mom’s Long Jump to Rio. The last time the Philippines got a gold medal in the women’s division, albeit unofficial, was when Arianne Cerdena-Valdez won the topmost spot in the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Marestella has high hopes that she’ll quality for the final round and get the gold in the category she’s competing in. The video has, since its posting, garnered 156,073 views.
