They also blocked the TSC and Shahbagh intersections for an hour each on Wednesday. The order sparked protests several hours later at Shahbagh, leaving thousands of citizens trapped in massive gridlocks on the connecting roads. The protesting students also gave an 18-hour ultimatum to the Election Commission to reschedule the polls. Law abiding ECAfter the High Court order on Tuesday, Election Commission Secretariat’s Senior Secretary Md Alamgir said the EC would follow the court’s directive.
