Despite these factors, both the men’s and women’s tournaments delivered — providing us with an endless well of talent, notable journeys and memorable moments. Flying under the radar for the duration of March Madness, their stint in the Final Four resulted in an overdue spotlight. Coach Adia Barnes is sure to garner much of this attention heading into next season. The former Wildcats star — fourth Black woman to coach her team to the NCAA finals, and a working mother — did it all. Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading... Loading...Stanford’s win also meant a loss for Pickering’s Shaina Pellington, who scored 15 points and added seven rebounds in 30 minutes in a losing effort.
