The housing units set to be turned over by President Rodrigo Duterte to displaced Marawi City residents will come with electricity and water, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Wednesday. “This is only the first temporary units that we will be transferring as promised to the people of Marawi,” Roque said, referring to 500 shelters in Barangay Sagonsongan set for hand over to Marawi folk left homeless by five months of fighting in the Islamic city. Roque told reporters during a press briefing at the provincial capitol in Marawi that the President would hand over the housing units anytime Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017.
