Marathon Motors, the Hyundai importer and assembler in Ethiopia, inaugurated an electric vehicle charging station in Addis Ababa. During the inaugural ceremony, Marathon Motors has also unveiled its new modles of electric vehicles, named "Hyundai Koyna" and "Hyundai Ayonk". The electrical vehicle charging station can charge vehicles fully within 15 minutes, enough for a 300-km drive. Marathon showcased its first locally assembled electric vehicles in July 2020. Various high ranking government officials have attended the inaugration of the electric vehicle charing station.
