Murray’s groin problems were well known; he missed a great deal of last season with the same problem while with the Senators. Murray has two Stanley Cup rings on his resumé but had two rough years in Ottawa. The extra salary cap space could allow the Leafs to call up players like Wayne Simmonds and Nick Robertson if they want extra players.
