Maple Leafs behind-the-scenes docuseries to debut on Amazon Prime Video on Oct. 1

Maple Leafs fans, if they can stomach it, will be able to relive the 2020-21 pandemic NHL season, full of such promise and so disappointing in the end, in vivid detail starting Oct. 1. The “All Or Nothing: Toronto Maple Leafs” docuseries, a five-part series from Amazon Prime Video detailing behind-the-scenes stories from a season that ended with a playoff loss to the Montreal Canadiens, will debut on Prime Video a couple of weeks before the Leafs begin anew their chase for a Stanley Cup. “All Or Nothing: Toronto Maple Leafs” is billed as having “unparalleled behind-the-scenes access with players, coaches and fans.”“Management really wanted us to be part of the process and make sure that we were really comfortable and feeling good about it,” Leafs captain John Tavares told The Star’s Kevin McGran early last season. Done by Amazon in conjunction with NHL Original Productions and Cream Films, the docuseries is not the team’s first foray into a behind-the-scenes production but this is the most ambitious. The Leafs and Detroit Red Wings were the subject of HBO’s lead-up to the Winter Classic in 2014 and the organization has produced its own inside-look shows in the past.
