A Maoist zonal commander who carried a bounty of Rs 15 lakh on his head surrendered before the Jharkhand Police today. Another Maoist sub-zonal commander also surrendered in the presence of DIG (Ranchi) Amol V Homkar. Based on the surrendered Maoists' inputs, security forces recovered a cache of over a dozen arms and more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition from Lohardaga district. Maoist zonal commander Nakul Yadav is wanted in more than 70 cases, including killing of policemen. Police sources said the joint operations, based on the inputs of the surrendered Maoists, are still underway in two other districts of Jharkhand.
