People in Palmerston North gather to protest against Israeli plans to annex parts of the West Bank. Protestors stood with flags in the air on Saturday, while “free, free Palestine, annexation is a crime” echoed across central Palmerston North. A protest in Palmerston North was one of nine across the country against Israeli plans to annex parts of the West Bank. More than 60 people gathered in The Square to express solidarity, and to stand in support of Palestine and its people. Amongst supporters was a Palestinian family who moved to Palmerston North in January for opportunities to work and study.
