Manslaughter charge laid in overdose death in Hagersville, Ont.
HAGERSVILLE, ONT.—Police have charged a man with manslaughter in an overdose death in Hagersville, Ont. They say 32-year-old Jason Kerr died Feb. 1 from opioid poisoning. Under arrest now is a 37-year-old man from Haldimand County. He is also charged with criminal negligence causing death and drug trafficking. Haldimand police say this is the eighth incident of charges related to a fatal overdose this year.
