A man was flown to Dunedin Hospital after getting his arm stuck in a potato machine at work on Tuesday morning. A man has been freed from a “potato machine” after getting his arm stuck while at work. Emergency services arrived at Kowhai Bush Farms on Storer Rd, Balclutha, about 80 kilometres southwest of Dunedin, about 9.30am on Tuesday. The man’s arm became stuck up to his elbow in a “potato machine” and a fire crew used rescue tools to free him, a Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said. It was unclear whether the machine was being used for cutting or harvesting potatoes, the Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said.
