“The resources of the country have increased a lot since the people are working hard… We have to utilize these resources,” he said. The planning minister said this while addressing a function titled “Mujib Shotoborsho and 50 Years of Bangladesh: Celebrating UCEP Legacy” as the chief guest, held in the capital’s Mirpur area. “Our condition is much better than in the past… We will be able to move ahead with our own resources,” he added. Speaking at the function, Underprivileged Children’s Educational Programs (UCEP), Bangladesh Chairperson Parveen Mahmud said the organization has been working for 49 years for underprivileged children and youths. She said UCEP, Bangladesh has been working tirelessly to build “Sonar Bangla” as envisaged by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
