Dr. Manmohan Singh is an excellent economist, he is to be credited with starting the Indian economic revolution which led to today's very decent indeed economic growth. He's quite right to insist that the process will have had some passing effect. As he's said:Manmohan Singh painted a bleak picture of the economy and blamed "notebandi" for the "sharp" slowdown. Any economic statistics that we have refer to the past, of course. I'm still entirely happy to agree that Dr. Singh's estimate of a 2% slowdown in GDP growth was a reasonable one for the immediate effects of demonetisation.
