In a major relief, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was granted bail on Friday. The Supreme Court ordered his release today after 17 months in jail, citing a violation of his right to a speedy trial in the Delhi excise policy case. An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted in a pressure cooker was detected on a major road near a school in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district. In response, police have suspended traffic movement in the area as a precautionary measure. Authorities are currently on the scene to safely defuse the device and ensure public safety.
