THE city government of Manila started the forced evacuation of residents in flood-prone areas shortly after the weather bureau hoisted Typhoon Signal Number 4 in Metro Manila. Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso ordered the evacuation of residents in Isla Puting Bato and Baseco. The families will stay at the Baseco Evacuation Center, Rosauro Almario Elementary School, Amado V. Hernandez Elementary School and the covered courts in Barangay 105 and Barangay 128. Partition tents will be provided to maintain physical distancing among evacuees. “Our topmost priority is to practice minimum health protocol,” the mayor said.
