VILLASIS, PANGASINAN — Motorists planning to travel this weekend through the Manila North Road (MNR) should avoid the portion of the road traversing through this town to avoid delay. A 3-kilometer stretch of the MNR will be closed to traffic on Jan. 12 and 13 to give way to the town’s Talong (Eggplant) Festival and fiesta celebration. According to a social media post by Roderick Mina, this town’s planning and development officer, the MNR section from Barangay (village) San Nicolas to Barangay Puelay will be closed from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 12 and from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.on Jan. 13. ADVERTISEMENTThe road closure has been approved by the Department of Public Works and Highways district office in Rosales town. They can also pass through the Magilas Trail by turning right from the MNR to the Carmen-Rosales Road.
