Manifesto: Fear of suburban kerb-crawlersDEAN KOZANIC/STUFF Do I need to be afraid of this? When I was younger, the suburban streets were where I was bullied. After 10 years of metro living and nary a problem walking on the streets, my fear is starting to creep back. The most palpable fear was just weeks ago, when my husband and I were walking together and a low-riding car drove past us. Maybe I have lingering issues from my teenage years about slow-moving cars on suburban streets and groups of raucous lads inside them?
