Real Madrid want to sell Gareth Bale to recuperate some of the funds they have already spent on new signings. Zinedine Zidane has spent over £250million on five new players, with Eden Hazard the most expensive at an initial £88m from Chelsea. But despite Real Madrid's desire to get rid of Bale, the Welshman is happy to stay put and see out the rest of his contract which expires in 2022. Manchester United have been long-term admirers of Bale and wanted him before he left Tottenham for the Bernabeu in 2013.
