Financial details of the transfer were not disclosed but British media reported United agreed to pay a base fee of 21 million euros ($25.77 million) with 20 million euros in add-ons. "He's a player with all of the raw attributes that are needed to be an important player for Manchester United in the years to come." Diallo said finally being able to complete a move to United after terms were agreed months ago was a "dream come true".
