The 18-year-old winger joined Man United from Feyenoord in 2016 and was recently promoted to the club’s reserve side following a spell of 12 months out with a serious knee injury. ‘The second I saw him I said, ‘We have got to get him’,’ he told Manchester Evening News. ‘The closest player I’ve seen to filling Ryan Giggs’ boots was Angel Di Maria but Mr Van Gaal did not play him in the right position.
