Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke has revealed he has applied for the Sunderland job. Having been out in Australia playing, he received a call from his ex-Manchester United colleague Roy Keane and was convinced to sign. After swapping Sydney for Sunderland, Yorke spent three years at the Stadium of Light and the club left a special mark on him. “It’s very difficult to assess what’s going on behind the scenes when you’re not in it. But, watching from the outside, you can only look at what’s going on on the pitch, and they’re underachieving, in my opinion.
