United have already started preparing for the summer transfer window, hoping for another productive period following their impressive recruitment last summer. Manchester United’s focus will not just be on incomings, however, with several sales necessary to offload unwanted players and trim the squad. United spent over £50m to sign Ugarte from PSG but the Uruguayan has underwhelmed in England and barely featured under caretaker boss Michael Carrick. Manchester United have climbed to third since Carrick returned as caretaker boss and return to action following a lengthy break next Monday against Leeds United.
