Watford certainly didn’t look overawed by the occasion and 20 minutes in they had a legitimate penalty appeal waved away. That scoreline meant that City matched the all-time biggest FA Cup final result set by Bury against Derby County in 1903 and they almost broke it in injury time when John Stones saw a goal-bound effort diverted over by Gomes.
