Manawatū’s David Martin will be one of the young triathletes competing in the new Manawatū junior triathlon league. The Manawatū Triathlon Club believes an elite event running alongside junior races offers all athletes special opportunities. The Manawatū junior triathlon league will be on December 18-20 at race sites across Manawatū. The weekend finishes with an elite race triathlon and the mixed team relay at Linton Military Camp on the Sunday. Manawatū triathlon academy coach Tamara Reed was looking forward to offering both junior and elite athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills.
