Manawatū gymnasts were in good form at the national championships with a handful of athletes earning their way onto the podium. The two-day New Zealand Gymnastics championships were in Auckland before lockdown and Manawatū gymnasts were in the thick of the action. Six Manawatū Gymsports athletes competed: Rhianna Jukes, Rebecca Golding, Zahara Slatter, Charlee Wood, Grayson Sullivan-Jones and Ajinkya Hughes. Sullivan-Jones won the floor event and came second on vault for the level four men’s division. Club manager Kim Fenn said: “We are very proud of these talented young gymnasts who represented our province so well.
