Manawatū District deputy mayor Michael Ford is disappointed at the council's decision to impose an ultimatum on landlords. The decision has been made: Feilding's landlords must upgrade or demolish any buildings found to be earthquake-prone within the next seven-and-a-half years. If an engineer deems their building earthquake-prone, they must upgrade or demolish them within seven-and-a-half years.
