Share TweetBy Aaron Recuenco and Alexandria San JuanPolice intelligence agents have arrested an alleged member of a terror group in Mindanao that is reportedly sympathetic to the Islamic State-inspired terror group Daulah Islamiyah in an entrapment operation in Quezon City. Gen. Ronnie Montejo, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) chief, said the operation against Palty started with a report of an alleged gun-running activity. The group allegedly switched its allegiance in 2018 to terrorist group Daulah Islamiyah led by Esmael Adbulmalik, whose alias is Turaife/Turaypi. According to intelligence reports, Abdulmalik appointed Palty as the point man or contact person of his group in Metro Manila to coordinate with Daulah Islamiyah operatives from Sulu and Basilan.
